My name is Melissa. My age is 25. My weight right now is about 55 Kg (121 lbs). Height of mine is 5.3. In about last year, I had gained weight of about 20Kg (44 lbs). I have read many articles about female weight gain stories. So, I decided to share mine with you. I will tell you all about my weight gain journey from 35 Kg to 55 Kg (77 lbs-121 lbs).
First of all, I was not a skinny child. In my childhood, I was very chubby. But when I was around 6 or 7 years old, I got seriously ill. I had typhoid fever. I remembered I was admitted in hospital then. After 14 or 15 days I recovered.
I was okay then but, I lost some weight. Later, I kept on losing my weight. Although, I had not any health issues but it was totally random. Throughout my teenage I was really, really a thin girl. I was so skinny. In accordance to my height I was underweight. I knew it but I never hated my body. I loved myself so much. For me, I was beautiful. But for others I was an ugly thin girl.
Like others, I did experience body shaming. There was a girl who was my senior. We used to travel together. We had same transportation so, we used to travel together. She lived near me. In other words she was my neighbor.
She used to make me feel so bad. She always used words like skinny, stick and malnourished to tease me. She always mocked me. She said to me that no one liked me because I’m so ugly. She just used to make me feel so bad about my body and the way I looked. I had no other choice except to ignore her. So, I just did it.
Many times I got angry upon her but it didn’t stop her. Whenever she loses in argument with me, she started body shaming me. All the other girls laughed at me. It makes me feel so bad. But no one cares about it.
I planned to gain weight. I tried that time to focus on my diet. Due to exams pressure I did not succeed. My sleeping routine was so disturbed. Even I rarely managed to do some exercise once a week. I totally failed to gain any weight.
Then I got admission in college. I started losing more weight. My college was far away from my home. I used to travel a lot. So, I started losing the rest of the weight I had while traveling to my college.
I’m a super active kid. I took part in sports. Although honestly speaking I was not that good at sports but I participated in it. Once I decided to participate in my college function as a model. I was super excited.
When I went for selection, one of my teachers rejected me because I looked so thin. According to her I was not suitable for the role. She told me to go home and eat something in order to gain some weight. And better try my luck next year. I was upset then but somehow I managed it. I forgot about it.
Honestly, I never thought I looked bad until I started dating a guy. He used to make me feel really malnourished. He taunted me very much. I just don’t remember the maximum part of relationship. When my college ended, I also broke up with him.
I got enrolled myself for another college for my master’s degree. Luckily, I did not have that sort of strictness about attendance in that college. So, I rarely went to college.
After a year corona pandemic arrived. Because of look down I sucked in my home. I was left with nothing to do except eating and sleeping. For me, it was the right time for gaining weight. I planned to start my weight gain journey again. I started eating a lot and a lot. It wasn’t intentional.
One more thing a friend of mine really inspired me by mentioning female weight stories. She helped me how can I gain weight. She was also a student of nutrition. Actually, she was half nutritionist as after few months she was going to complete her course. She gave me a diet plan. She also suggested me some exercises.
Two months after my breakup I was in depression then. This was also a reason of my weight loss. At start I was not gaining weight in spite of all my efforts. I was trying to remind myself that even people on diet trying to lose weight had set backs and end up most likely gaining a few pounds during the process and that I’m human!
But my friend motivated me. I started again with small steps. I added milk, egg and fresh vegetable to my meal. I go through many female weight gain stories for some tips. I avoid junk food. I just concentrated on my goal that was weight gain. I also calculate my calories.
I changed my routine and life style. Your life style has impact on your fitness. If someone is not taking proper sleep then he/she may lose weight. I replaced my all unhealthy food with healthy one.
I wake up early in the morning. I make sure that my breakfast contains proteins. I also take snacks in between of my meals. I avoid drinking alcohol. I replaced it was banana shake. It proved very good for me.
Breakfast is really important. Add at least two boiled eggs and some fresh juice in your breakfast. In meals I preferred fresh vegetables and meat. I increased my sugar intake. Sugar must be from natural sources.
I started gaining weight gradually. Then my friend suggested me to do some exercise. Due to lock-down I was not able to go outside. I had to manage this at my home. So I did. I used to do little exercises like push-ups. For gain weight most important step after food is exercise. I used to do little exercise but on daily basis. This helped me to make up my muscles.
My friend motivated me so much. I kept on trying. I increased my intake of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Also don’t forget to add rice in your diet plan. I used to take milk before going to sleep. By changing some habits I successfully increased my weight. Now, I look healthy and absolutely fit.
My weight gain story was not too tough. As I was free, nothing to do at home. Because of lock-down I stayed at home. Everything was closed. I just focused on my diet. I take at least 8 hours of sleep. I focused on my exercise. Change my unhealthy life style.
One most important tip for weight gain is being happy. Honestly, when you are happy you can do everything that you need to do in life.
From my weight loss to my weight gain: my journey was simple. By changing your life style any one can achieve his/her ideal weight. Don’t stress yourself. Put your efforts. You will never regret it. I hope my weight gain story give you some tips.
